Command-line or web installer?

The benefit of the command-line installation is that the Apache user does not need to have writing permissions on the LemonStand directory. When you execute the installer in command line mode, the installer process is running with your user permissions, and all application files, created by the installer, are owned by your user and the corresponding user group. It provides better protection for LemonStand. This method is preferred if you are going to install the application to a shared hosting. You need to have SSH access to the server, in order to install LemonStand in command line mode. LemonStand, installed in command-line mode, can be updated only in command-line mode.

For installing LemonStand using the web installer, you need to grant the Apache user writing permissions to the installation directory. While the web installer provides better user experience during the installation process, the files after the installation are less protected than if you use the command-line installer.
